Association
Laurean alumnit association was established in 2002 by Laurea UAS and the student union LAUREAMKO. The association brings together the alumni, supports networking and career progress and promotes cooperation between Laurea and the alumni.
Laurean alumnit association’s annual meeting decides on the activity plan, budget and the board of the association. The board carries out the activities requested by members. All members of the association are welcome to the annual meeting.
The world alumni comes from Latin and is the plural form for alumnus (male graduate) and alumna (female graduate). Alumni activities have a comprehensive tradition in universities around the world; especially in United States and Great Britain. Alumni activities started growing in the 90’s in Finland, also at universities of applied sciences (polytechnics).
